Accepted files and fields

CSV input

One UTF-8 file; at most 2 MB, 5,000 reviews, 40 columns and 150,000 cells including the header.

Structure

Unique nonempty headers and consistent columns. Quoted commas/newlines, doubled quotes and a UTF-8 BOM work. Invalid UTF-8 and unsupported control characters are rejected.

Fields

At most 2,000 characters each. IDs and source names must also be one line, up to 160 characters.

Ratings and dates

Whole-number ratings 1–5 or blank. Valid YYYY-MM-DD dates from 1900 through 2200 or blank. Prepare other formats outside this app.

Topics

Up to 12 topics, 12 terms per topic, 40 characters per unique topic name, 60 per normalized term and 4,000 characters overall.

Restore

Review Insights session JSON up to 8 MB, containing a valid source and settings.

Interpretation limits

Topics match complete Unicode letter/number words or consecutive phrases, ignoring case and punctuation. One review counts once per topic; topics can overlap. Negation, sarcasm and intent are not interpreted. English stop words affect only the frequent-word list. Other languages may need custom rules.

Source names and IDs are case-sensitive. Repeated IDs are an identity check, not proof of fraud. Anonymous reviews are not deduplicated. Rating averages exclude unrated reviews; monthly trends exclude undated reviews. An incomplete export or the fictional example does not establish population-wide satisfaction.

Unavailable capabilities

No platform connections, scraping, semantic sentiment, authenticity verification, employee rankings, generated replies or messages. No shared workspace, login, cloud backup, subscriptions or paid features.

One file is analyzed at a time. If combining authorized exports offline, preserve source names and stable IDs. Source hashes and record references help trace calculations; editable exports are not tamper-proof evidence.
