Save and recover sessions
Save an exact session, restore safely, cancel analysis, correct invalid inputs and understand recovery after a closed browser tab.
Save a restorable session
After successful analysis, choose Save session and keep its JSON privately. It includes the original CSV, mapping, topic rules and date/source filters. After changing settings, analyze again to enable saving the updated session.
A report is evidence, not a restorable session. Review CSVs contain analyzed rows rather than the original excluded records and settings. Keep a session to reproduce the workspace exactly.
Restore without replacing work by accident
Choose Restore session and select a valid Review Insights session JSON, up to 8 MB. The app validates its format, source and settings first. If a source is already open, Keep current cancels replacement; continuing installs the restored session and reruns analysis.
Malformed CSV or invalid session imports leave the current workspace in place. A valid replacement, once confirmed, replaces this tab's source and settings. Save first if you need both versions.
Cancel or correct analysis
Cancel analysis stops the worker and keeps the source and settings. The unfinished report clears; analyze again to rerun it. If a worker cannot start, the error message confirms your source is retained for another attempt.
Correct rejected dates, ratings, mapping or rules, or reimport a corrected CSV. Unsupported formats are not silently converted. Changing mapping or settings clears the old report so it cannot be mistaken for current output.
After closing, reloading or clearing
There is no automatic save or cloud recovery. A browser may warn before leaving, but do not rely on it. Without a session, reopen the original CSV and rebuild your settings; the app cannot recover the closed tab.
Clear tab asks for confirmation and leaves exports untouched. Blocking browser storage may reset the theme after reload; reviews were never saved there. See privacy and downloads.
